Collection concerning an Algernon Swinburne forgery [manuscript], 1944-1949.

The collection contains a forgery of an Algernon Swinburne letter supposedly written on Tennyson's death. Letters, 1949, of John S. Mayfield and Francis L. Berkeley identify the letter as a forgery. A printed booklet, 1944, concerns a similar Algernon Swinburne forgery written on the death of Kate Greenaway, owned by Mayfield. A photostat of the Swinburne-Greenaway forgery is included.
